Spring Newsletter- March 2023

What a gap in our newsletters! It's 2023 now and AEEP will be celebrating its 6th Anniversary this spring! There are quite a few updates if we start back when we posted the last newsletter... We started the first ever Crowdfunding Platform exclusively for people who have endometriosis (and other Endo Groups can use it too!) We filmed "Not Ovary Acting" which can be found on Youtube. We've spoken in classrooms and events teaching about endometriosis. Thousands of people have visited our Physician Directory on our website and many people have received one-to-one care and coaching... all of this free to endo warriors because of volunteers and the generous donations given by those who care.

Speaking of volunteers, we are looking for help with the following:

Grant writing
Volunteer outreach/ onboarding
Social Media
Blogging
Newsletter writer
Updating the doctor directory
Help setting up online courses
Fundraising
You can APPLY HERE to volunteer with AEEP. Also, if you have any questions you can email us at info@endofendoproject.org and you can also pop in to one of our Changemaker Check-ins on Wednesdays at 4:30 PST on Zoom. These mellow meetings are more like Open Office Hours with Holly for new folks to check in and ask questions and the Regulars to talk about their projects. Non-AEEP attendees are also encouraged to join to share what they are working on and try to drum up help as well. If you are interested in joining email info@endofendoproject to get the Zoom link.
Keep your eyes peeled for some Limited Edition Endo Awareness gear including fabulously aggressive one you may or may not wear around the children... These shirts will be pre-sale available on our website.
Well, that's all for now! Happy (almost) Endometriosis Awareness Month- May you be bold and positively effective as you teach others about endometriosis this month and always.

Summer Newsletter- July 2018

Thank you to everyone who has made this first year a possibility! In Spring of 2017 we began the process of starting a nonprofit corporation. In summer of 2017 we applied for 501(c)3 tax-exempt status which we promptly received. In January we soft launched the first version of our website and in March we started our Instagram page where we (along with Facebook) post weekly installments of things such as “Voices of Endo”, facts and statistics, and encouragement for those living with endometriosis. We filmed our first official video for the AEEP website (which will be posted soon) and our first educational video web series is in pre-production. In March we hosted our first “official” fundraising event called “One Sweet Century” at Tudor Rose English Tea Room which was a wild success! (Thank you again to everyone who came out to that event!) Finally, this June we celebrated reaching 500 followers on Instagram by conducting our first AEEP logo shirt giveaway contest where we had three happy winners. Needless to say, we have been very busy and excited to see our cause coming together. We could not do any of this without your support, so THANK YOU!

What’s in the works

We are working on pre-production for our first video series. The working title is “Not Ovary Acting” and is a dramedy portraying a typical endometriosis treatment journey. The happy ending, however, is when the main character finds herself supported like she never was before when she finds American End of Endo Project. We are currently casting for speaking and non-speaking actors of all ages, ethnicities, and genders. We are also looking for support crew (creative and logistical roles). If you are interested in learning more, please contact info@endofendoproject.org.

Also in the works: The Endo Squad program. This program consists of a pdf format booklet and a somewhat-challenging open-booklet quiz to follow (allow about 90 minutes to two hours for the program in its entirety). Participants who receive a certain minimum score are inducted into the Endo Squad: an elite group of informed change makers who receive an Endo Squad certificate and special goodies every once in a while… Endo Squad status is also a prerequisite for some of the more involved volunteer/internship opportunities with AEEP.

Mark your calendar…

We are excited to announce Paint Nite at Flight Deck Tasting Room and Bottle Shop on Thursday August 30 from 7:30-9:30. This will be an evening of fun as we learn to paint, sip on wine, enjoy good company, and support AEEP in beautiful downtown Healdsburg. Space is extremely limited so get your tickets today at the Paint Nite website.

Help Needed

In addition to cast and crew for the upcoming video project, we are also on the lookout for all kinds of volunteers: whether technical, creative, or social, we’ve got a place for you! If you or someone you know is interested in volunteering, check out our Volunteer page at www.endofendoproject.org/volunteer
