For Physicians

Thank you for taking the time to see what American End of Endo Project is all about. This section addresses some of the questions you might have as a healthcare provider.

American End of Endo Project (AEEP) has a Provider Directory. This directory is currently comprised of physicians who specialize in endometriosis care. As you are well-aware, there is currently no formal distinction for this specialty and the standards and methodology widely vary between providers. As a patient, it can be frustrating to not have straightforward information about potential doctors. This directory aims to introduce patients to providers and make self-education and research simpler.

Physicians on our directory must be licensed, practicing physicians in the United States, must have excellent reasoning, evidence, and history to be considered an endometriosis specialist. Physicians are asked to complete a questionnaire, detailing some of their approaches and methods for treatment. Completing the questionnaire does not guarantee inclusion on the directory. Donations do not affect our decision for inclusion on the directory. We are not obligated to include anyone on the directory for any reason.

If you are a specialist who desires to be on our directory, please start an account here and complete the questionnaire. We will consider your answers and either approve or deny your request. If you have a conflict of interest (ties to pharmaceutical companies, etc.) we ask that you please disclose such information on your profile. Our number one priority is endometriosis patients. They deserve full disclosure as to who is caring for them.

AEEP uses five key metrics to discern the level of endometriosis care a physician can provide. We are primarily looking for surgeons who:

  • excise endo with wide margins
  • majority of patients have endo
  • keeps post-surgical outcome statistics
  • published/ presented work, peer-reviewed
  • usually avoids GnRH agonists/ antagonists

These standards are based on overwhelming anecdotal evidence in the endometriosis patient community, input from the world’s leading endometriosis specialists, and the goal of increased functionality and real health as opposed to symptom and system suppression.

AEEP is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt not-for-profit organization (tax ID 82-1218312). All funding is provided by donors and sponsors. AEEP is committed to integrity and transparency. Inclusion on the directory is based solely on our criteria and standards for inclusion and is unrelated to financial gifts or offers of pro bono surgeries. These types of donations are welcome, but again, please be aware that they will not, under any circumstances, indicate inclusion or influence a rating.

The website will always be updating and changing. If you think that you or someone you know would be a good candidate for our directory, please email us at info@endofendoproject.org,
